HEY, MY NAME IS MISTY PHILLIPS
WEDDING, EVENTS, & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER
It’s funny how it all started—I got a free digital camera with a Dell computer purchase in 2004. (Shew, that was a minute ago!) I thought it was the fanciest thing ever and was immediately drawn to the idea that art could be created and stories could be shared with just an image. I wanted to do that. The camera became my tool, my creative outlet.
Generations: A Journey in Film
Step back in time with my very own vintage family photo gallery, a visual tapestry-- some created by my great-great-grandfather in his dark room and some shared through ancestry databases. Each photo is a cherished relic, all that remains from bygone eras, preserving moments, faces, and stories of generations past. From my moonshinin' maternal great-great-grandma to my paternal grandma as a little girl on her family's front porch. What will the world look like when another lifetime goes by? How will we be remembered? Long after our memories are forgotten, the images remain.
